Public Events

At Wentworth Grange we regularly host a range of social events, some of which are aimed at raising funds for local charities. They are ‘ticketed’ events that are open to the families of our guests and the general public. All of our upcoming events are detailed below and will be updated on a regular basis - please be sure to keep checking here for further information.

Recurring Events:

Book Club - Every Monday at 3.00pm

Join us for Book Club every Monday and unwind with a drink while chatting about any books you're currently reading. A relaxed and friendly space to share ideas and reading recommendations. No booking required.

Gentle Seated Pilates - Every Tuesday, 11.00am

Join us for a gentle seated chair pilates session for older adults with mobility issues, followed by coffee, cake and socialising. Tickets cost just £5pp to non-residents and can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com or by using the button at the bottom of this page. All proceeds will be donated to our two chosen charities. Additional beverages will be available to purchase from the bar.

Breath, Relax, Restore - Every Wednesday, 10.15am (Hampton House) & 3.00pm (Wentworth Grange)

Join us every Wednesday for a soothing session of mindfulness meditation and gentle music. It’s the perfect way to unwind, reset your mind, and reconnect with yourself.

Wellness Fridays - Every Friday, 3.00pm

Brought to you by our wellbeing associate, Nicola Foster of Crystal Clear Healing. Enjoy one of her relaxing treatments such as a hand massage, foot massage, manicure, pedicure, Reiki, Indian head massage, or shoulder & neck massage.

Charity Coffee Mornings - The First Tuesday of Every Month, 10.30am

Once a month we will be hosting a Charity Coffee Morning, from 10.30am. Tickets cost just £5pp, with all proceeds being donated to our two chosen charities - these are available by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com or by using the button at the bottom of this page.

Unique Music – Friday 8th August, Friday 19th September & Friday 17th October, 2.30pm

Join us for an uplifting and creative session led by Unique Music, where music and movement come together to celebrate life at Wentworth Grange. Through songwriting, rhythm, and joyful expression, we reflect on everything that makes our home so special—from shared laughter and warm friendships to the little joys of daily life.
These musical afternoons are a heartfelt reminder of the community we’ve built together.

Summer Larder Pop-Up – Thursday 31st July, 3.00pm

Join us for a summer pop-up market hosted by The Corbridge Larder. Sample some of their wonderful produce and view their amazing hampers, all of which will be available to purchase. This event is free, and places can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

Irish Dancing by Ivy Johnson – Tuesday 5th August, 3.00pm

Come and enjoy a dazzling display of Irish dancing from Ivy Johnson. After competing in the World Irish Dancing Championships earlier this year, Ivy joins us for a lively afternoon of dance and entertainment in beautiful surroundings. Art Session – Tuesday 12th August, 2.30pm

Join us for a Van Gogh–inspired “Sunflowers” art session led by Carl von Weiler. Carl, originally from the Netherlands, studied fine art in the UK and now works locally in Northumberland. Smile Through Sport – Thursday 21st August, 2.30pm (Wentworth Grange) & 2.30pm (Hampton House)

Join us for a taster session with Smile Through Sport, an initiative that provides opportunities for disabled people of all ages across the North East to access high-quality sport and physical activity. This event is free to attend, and places can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

Greyhound Petting – Thursday 21st August, 2.30pm

Join us for a visit from Jenny of Northumberland Greyhound Rescue, a local volunteer-run charity. Meet and pet some of the beautiful greyhounds in their care and learn more about the work they do. Tickets are free and can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

Afternoon Tea – Thursday 21st August, 4.30pm (Wentworth Grange) & 4.30pm (Hampton House)

Indulge in a delightful afternoon tea, hosted by Grants of Corbridge. Savor a selection of their finest sweet and savory treats while enjoying a relaxing atmosphere in our restaurant, Talia. Places are just £10 for non-residents and can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

An Afternoon with Lewis Hill – Sunday 24th August, 11am

Get ready for an afternoon of toe-tapping nostalgia as rock 'n' roll singer Lewis Hill brings the music of the 50s and 60s to Wentworth Grange. Enjoy classic hits from legends such as Elvis, Buddy Holly and The Everly Brothers, all performed live. Light snacks and nibbles prepared by our kitchen team will be served. Posy Making - Tuesday 26th August, 2.30pm

Join us for a creative posy making session using artificial flowers, hosted by award-winning florist Sue Fodden of Castle & Bloom. No experience is needed – all materials and equipment will be provided. Guests will also enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz as part of the session. Jewellery Workshop – Wednesday 27th August, 2.30pm

Unleash your creativity and craft stunning beaded jewellery in a relaxed and friendly workshop. Learn the fundamentals of bead stringing and design techniques. All materials will be provided, and you’ll leave with your own unique handmade pieces. Tea & coffee will be provided. Author Talk with Kimberley Adams – Tuesday 2nd September, 11.00am

Afternoon of Piano with Iris Thorpe – Tuesday 2nd September, 4.30pm

Crystals Workshop – Wednesday 10th September, 2.30pm

Take part in our Crystals for Beginners class and discover how to use crystals for healing, protection, and intention-setting. Drumming Session - Thursday 11th September, 3.00pm

Join us for a lively drumming session hosted by Avery’s Angels Holistic Therapies. This interactive experience is designed to lift the spirits and support wellbeing, with benefits including:

Corbridge Roman Town Talk – Tuesday 16th September, 2.30pm

The Hexham Uketeers – Monday 22nd September, 3.00pm

Moon & Lantern Festival – Tuesday 23rd September, 2.30pm

Join us as we celebrate Chinese culture with storytelling, moon cake tasting, and a hands-on lantern-making activity. Smile Through Sport – Thursday 25th September, 11.00am

Smile Through Sport joins us to deliver fun, inclusive taster sessions of physical activity. The organisation works across the North East to create accessible sport opportunities for people with disabilities of all ages. Places are free and can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

Greyhound Petting – Tuesday 21st October, 2.30pm (Wentworth Grange & Hampton House)

Learn How to Read Tarot Cards – Friday 31st October, 3.00pm

The Hexham Uketeers – Tuesday 18th November, 3.00pm

The Hexham Uketeers – Tuesday 2nd December, 3.00pm

Greyhound Petting – Tuesday 9th December, 2.30pm (Wentworth Grange & Hampton House)

Spend the afternoon with the lovely greyhounds from Northumberland Greyhound Rescue, brought along by Jenny for this special visit. Come meet the dogs and hear about the charity’s mission. Tickets are free and can be booked by emailing eventsteamwg@outlook.com.

Our Chosen Charities

This year our fundraising will be supporting Heel & Toe Children’s Charity and Dragonfly Cancer Trust - two incredible charities.

Heel & Toe Children’s Charity

Heel & Toe Children's Charity provides a range of therapies to children with physical disabilities and complex needs at our centres in County Durham. Any child aged between 6 months to 19 years old from any part of the North East area is eligible to apply for a consultation. We provide Conductive Education, Hydrotherapy, Massage Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech & Language Therapy. Our centres are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm. Heel & Toe are not government funded and rely solely on donations and fundraising.

Dragonfly Cancer Trust

Dragonfly Cancer Trust work with specialist cancer treatment centres, hospitals, hospices and families across the UK providing support for young patients with terminal cancer who receive palliative treatment. Our focus is on memory making, helping young patients to make each moment matter with their loved ones. We do this by providing cash gifts, keepsakes and creative therapy. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are continuously inspired by the young people we support.
